01 · Hi
I'm David Szedely. Finance guy who lives at the crossroads of corporate finance and data. Years on the investor side taught me what funds actually want to see — years next to founders taught me that nobody has time to build it twice.
My job is to make the numbers tell the truth: where the business earns, where it bleeds, and what the next move looks like on paper before it costs anything in real life.

Management reporting, financial planning, cash & runway, board decks. The finance function your stage needs, without the senior hire you can't justify yet.
Power BI or Metabase, implemented with an external certified partner. You get dashboards founders and investors actually open — not shelfware.
The pipes that feed everything else: accounting data into the warehouse, CRM into reporting, invoices out of inboxes. Less double-entry, fewer Friday-night exports.
Not my core, but handled with a vetted external partner for clients who want one throat to choke. Useful as an add-on, not a reason to hire me.

30 minutes. I try to understand how the numbers behave in your business. You get an honest read on whether I'm the right person for the job.
Accounts, spreadsheets, tools, reporting. I map what you already have and where the gaps are — no throwing things out for the sake of it.
Management accounts, reports and data flows that mirror how the business actually runs. Founder-readable first, audit- and investor-proof second.
Hourly or fixed retainer. Remote, async, a call when it matters. You can stop whenever it stops being useful — no six-month minimums.
